Under Road Boring WA (URB) is committed to continuous improvement and pro-active management across all operational areas – not just for our employees and clients, but also other key stakeholders and interested parties. To ensure our operational processes and procedures are managed and maintained to an independent international standard, URB is proud to have attained certification of its management systems under the ISO 9001: 2015 (Quality), ISO 45001:2015 (Occupational health and safety) and ISO 14001:2018 (Environmental) standards.
The ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standard defines the guiding principles that can be used to create efficiencies by aligning and streamlining processes throughout the organisation, in an effort to bring down costs, create new opportunities, meet regulatory requirements, and help organisations expand into new markets. It includes a strong focus on customer requirements and delivery, the involvement of all levels of management, the application of a process approach to daily operational execution and overall continuous improvement and risk management.
The ISO 14001:2015 Occupational Health and Safety Management Standards are aimed at helping organisations develop and maintain a system that is focused on improving employees’ health and safety. An OHS management system assist organisations in identifying hazards, assessing and evaluating risks, and implementing necessary control measures which are aimed at minimising accidents.
The ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System Standard helps
organisations identify, manage, monitor and control their environmental issues in a “holistic” manner by improving their environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste. Key improvements of the most recent version includes the increased prominence of environmental management within the organisation’s strategic planning processes, greater input from leadership and a stronger commitment to proactive initiatives that boost environmental performance.
