URB has a number of ‘Pierce Arrows’ – pneumatic piercing tools capable of tunneling short and medium distances in clay and rocky ground conditions.These tools are capable of installing pipes and conduits up to 75mm.Operated by compressed air, they are mainly used for installing pipes, cables and conduits in areas where there is very limited room for the entry pit. An entry pit of of only 2m x 0.5m is required to utilise these tools.
